Every month we change the coffee being sent - just to keep you on your toes! A voyage of flavour discovery and, when possible, our latest single-origin coffee that has not been released in our cafes and stores yet. Each month you will unearth different origins, coffee processing methods and varieties of arabica, allowing you to explore your coffee bean preferences and expand your coffee knowledge. We roast the coffee for our subscribers in a substantial batch right before packaging and mailing to ensure maximum richness, vibrancy of flavours and apex aromatics. How does an Unorthodox Roasters subscription work?

Setting up the subscription is incredibly simple. You tell us how much coffee you would like per month, if you would like it ground [ Moka Pot, French Press, Aeropress, Espresso et al. ] and choose the appropriate payment plan that works for you. Whole beans are optimal for flavour retention but you will need your own grinder.  Let us take care of the rest. Kick back, relax and know that you will never run out of coffee again because at the beginning of every month you’ll find a gorgeous parcel with an immense bag of exceptional coffee for you to enjoy. 

How much coffee should I get?

If you drink one cup of coffee a day, a 500g bag should last you for the entire month. If you plan on sharing the bag with your household or one coffee a day is simply not enough then a 1KG bag might be preferable. However, starting with a 250g bag to test the water and scale up if necessary is a phenomenal way to start your coffee journey with Unorthodox Roasters.

Rolling subscriptions vs. one-time subscriptions - which one to choose?

A rolling monthly subscription ensures that you never run out of coffee. It is the ultimate Netflix-style solution to your coffee needs. An unadulterated continuum of good coffee landing at your doorstep without intervention. Life changes so you can pause or cancel it whenever you like.

However, we understand that for some, a rolling online coffee subscription can be a daunting commitment which is why we offer one-off payment subscriptions for a defined period of time. 3, 6 or 12 months. You receive all of the benefits of a rolling subscription except this one has an end date which gives you peace of mind if you want to commit for a certain period of time.
