Wee Cracker Turbo
XMAS PUD. MARMALADE. BRANDY.
A souped up, high octane festive explosion of coffee from the Kyenjojo District in Western Uganda. Your sensory tachometer will be pushed to the absolute limit. This is a very unique coffee. Uganda doesn’t have a classification for the style in which they dry the picked coffee cherries. However, we would consider it a washed coffee. Cherries are lightly pulped and dried on raised beds under the sun at Clarke Farm. Expect a decadent coffee with a luscious mouthfeel. Subtly sweet with hints of boozy Christmas pudding, marmalade and a layered fudgy texture. The perfect beverage in your busy life when you need a supercharged hit of happiness

The Full Story
Clarke Farm is billed as an eco-friendly farm and coffee estate that mainly grows arabica coffee under shade canopy in Katambale, Uganda. However, Dr Ian Clarke is expansive in his thinking and having lived in Uganda for 35 years and a dual national, wants to impact more than his sphere. Originally opening hospitals and medical centres as well as a university he began to notice the impact improving coffee would have on the population.
Dr. Clarke, the farm owner, told us that sensational coffee “involves having a network trained on good agronomy and correct picking so that we get the best ripe red cherries. Because we only want red floated cherries we pay quite a lot more so this gives the farmers extra income and also encourages good agronomy which helps produce improved yields. We then process this coffee for export on our own farm”.
